Production Supervisor - Fabrication

Production SupervisorThe primary responsibility of this role is to supervise and coordinate the activities of the precision fabrication portion of WHF business with 3 shift responsibility for burn table, tube laser, press brake, saw, and shear, ensuring both internal and external customer expectations for quality and timeliness are met.Responsibilities:Lead the fabrication production teams focusing on quality leadership to reach desired outcomesOrganize resources and schedule personnelAssign duties focused on meeting objectivesMonitor and control production output using various on-line resources across all shiftsCommunicate through regular team/individual meetingsProvide goals and vision to team members in the Fabrication departmentDrive accountability and motivate team to achieve work/production goalsLead, guide and train employees in policies, safety, and company objectivesSupervise new employee onboarding and training for job specific proceduresEnsure training plans are set-up and followed for all new hiresParticipate in the on-boarding processEstablish and follow new hire "touch points" schedule to assure a positive outcomeOversee and support the working leads ensuring production goals and customer expectations are metManage team performance by providing regular feedback to individuals/leaders; complete evaluations, and handle performance concerns as needed; initiate improvement plans if required; establish plans for development of strong performersAnalyze and resolve production problems; partner with Senior Leads and Task Leaders to determine root cause and develop solutionsReview employee time and attendance to ensure correct reporting; manage attendance concerns within your teamsBalance schedules for time off requests and OT needs; manage time off requests within the systemManage data and metrics reporting; understand production schedule and system reporting; prepare reports as requiredCollaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities between shifts and individual departments; communicate to ensure consistency between shiftsWork with Inventory/Supply Chain to be assured needed parts/supplies are available; assist in managing parts/supply issuesWork with the Quality team to promote and ensure all individual customer requirements are being metCommunicate with customer reps and liaisons as needed/required to understand and ensure we are meeting contracted requirementsInitiate administrative activities related to routine staff management (disciplinary forms, documentation, etc.)Partner with others within the organization (i.e. leaders, planning, and maintenance) to support company goals; coordinate activities between shifts and individual departmentsAnd any other duties as assigned by supervisorJob Locations US-WI-ManitowocCompany Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
