Job Summary & Responsibilities The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other bodily fluids to support patient diagnosis and evaluation. The role includes: Handling specimen processing and pre‑analytic inspection. Performing various laboratory tests, evaluating results, and entering/re‑verifying data in the Laboratory Information System. Conducting periodic quality control per policy and procedure. Evaluating new or modified procedures, reagents, and instruments as directed by the Section Coordinator. Troubleshooting instruments. Participating in hospital initiatives and supporting department goals set by the Laboratory Director and Manager. Qualifications Associate degree; graduate of a NCCLS accredited Medical Technician program. Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
