About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Travel to take on a General Manager role for a travel business line. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full P&L, strategy, and execution, with a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day operations and building the necessary technology and automation for scaling. This includes overseeing product development, client relationships, vendor strategy, team leadership, and revenue growth. The role demands a leader who can define and own the product strategy, pricing, and differentiation, as well as identify new revenue opportunities and lead go-to-market efforts. The VP of Travel will also be tasked with transitioning operations to a tech-enabled delivery model, optimizing processes, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team. Applicants for the VP of Travel position at the company should have 4-8 years' experience in consulting, private equity operations, strategy, or high-growth roles, with an MBA being preferred. The role requires a candidate with a strong ownership mindset, P&L accountability, and the ability to build and optimize processes. The ideal candidate will be credible with senior stakeholders, a strong communicator, and possess a builder mentality with a passion for automation and technology. Strong analytical and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and develop a team.
