We welcome all healthcare professionals to join our thriving community and contribute to our pursuit for clinical excellence.**Department:****Job Description Summary:**# **General Surgeon**# **Mount Sinai Medical Center**# **Miami Beach, FL****Job Responsibilities:*** Join a high-volume, hospital-based general surgery practice that provides comprehensive care for both elective and emergency general surgery patients.* Manage a wide spectrum of general surgical conditions, with emphasis on minimally invasive approaches to abdominal, hernia, biliary, GI, and acute care surgery.* Participate in an emergency general surgery service, including shared call coverage, with access to advanced technology and subspecialty support.* Maintain an active elective surgical practice in alignment with the surgeon’s clinical interests and expertise.* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncology, gastroenterology, and critical care, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.* Participate in the education of medical students and general surgery residents in the operating room, clinic, and didactic settings.* Contribute to institutional quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based surgical practices.**Qualifications:*** MD or DO from an accredited medical school; successful completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.* Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.* Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Advanced GI, or comparable training is strongly preferred.* Proficiency in laparoscopic and/or robotic surgical techniques, particularly in acute care and elective general surgery.* At least 5 years post training experience.* Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.* Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality surgical care.* Demonstrated interest in academic surgery, teaching, and clinical excellence within a collaborative team environment.**Benefits:**We believe in the physical and mental well-being of our employees and are committed to offering comprehensive benefits that fit their personal needs:* Health benefits* Life insurance* Long-term disability coverage* Healthcare spending accounts* Retirement plan* Paid time off* Pet Insurance* Tuition reimbursement* Employee assistance program* Wellness program* On-site housing for select positions and more!**Degree Requirements:**MD**Certification:** #J-18808-Ljbffr
