Job Responsibilities
- Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' unique needs and develop tailored therapy strategies to facilitate their journey toward achieving functional milestones
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based interventions to boost patients' motor functions, cognitive skills, and overall daily activities
- Collaborate Within Multidisciplinary Teams: Work in synergy with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure integrated and comprehensive care
- Educate Patients and Their Families: Provide training to patients and caregivers on therapeutic methodologies to encourage progress and accountability at home
- Track and Evaluate Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans accordingly to keep patients on the right path toward their recovery
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Encouragement for ongoing education or additional certifications post-graduation
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
- A genuine passion for helping individuals achieve the highest possible level of autonomy
- Strong, empathetic communication skills with patients and team members
- A creative mindset with the ability to adapt therapy plans to suit varying needs
- Confident in working independently as well as part of a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team
