Pharmacy Retail Specialist

Description The Pharmacy Retail Specialist works under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and supports the daily operations of the pharmacy through a variety of non-clinical activities. Responsibilities include: Assisting patients with a friendly and professional manner. Answering phones, processing sales transactions, handling payments, ordering medications and supplies. Maintaining accurate records and assisting with prescription and mail-out activities as assigned. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, efficient, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys interacting with patients and the pharmacy team. The position is full-time and offers a great work-life balance, plus great benefits and a supportive team. Schedule Shifts may vary from 9 a.m. -5:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday - Friday and an occasional Saturday shift from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Closed holidays and Sundays Requirements High school graduate or equivalent required Typing and computer skills Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English Registration with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Support Person must be completed prior to starting employment Preferred Qualifications Strong communication, basic math, and money-handling skills are helpful; previous pharmacy experience is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Winneshiek Medical Center
