Position Description
CGI is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to help clients move from AI ambition to real world business transformation. This is a senior, client facing role that combines AI strategy, solution architecture, hands on engineering, rapid prototyping, and trusted technical advisory.
The AI Solutions Architect works directly with executives, business leaders, product teams, and technology organizations to identify high value opportunities, design practical AI solutions, and accelerate adoption. This role spans the full AI lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through prototype development, MVP delivery, production implementation, and organizational change.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across AI, data, cloud, software engineering, and enterprise architecture. They can quickly understand business challenges, translate requirements into solution designs, build working prototypes, and guide teams from concept to scalable implementation.
AI Native SDLC and agentic engineering are core capabilities for this role. The successful candidate understands how AI can transform the way solutions are designed, built, tested, secured, modernized, and operated, while also applying AI to improve business processes, customer experiences, decision making, and operational outcomes.
This role requires someone who can shape strategy with senior leaders, develop solution architectures, support pursuits and pre sales activities, rapidly build proofs of concept and MVPs, and help clients realize measurable value through practical adoption of AI.
CGI will consider candidates proximate to any U.S. office. CGI utilizes a hybrid working model and partners should be prepared to work on site at a CGI or client office, as needed.
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities
AI Strategy, Advisory, and Solution Design


. Partner with business and technology leaders to identify high value opportunities for AI, data, cloud, and digital transformation.
. Translate business objectives into solution architectures, roadmaps, prototypes, and implementation plans.
. Support executive discussions, workshops, pursuits, and strategic initiatives as a trusted AI advisor.


AI Engineering and Rapid Prototyping


. Design and build AI powered solutions using modern AI, cloud, and data platforms.
. Rapidly develop prototypes, proof of concepts, and MVPs that demonstrate business value and technical feasibility.
. Evaluate emerging technologies and guide successful solutions into scalable production implementations.


AI Native SDLC & Agentic Engineering


. Apply AI native engineering practices to improve software delivery, quality, modernization, and developer productivity.
. Guide adoption of AI assisted development tools, engineering agents, and automation across the software lifecycle.
. Establish practical governance, quality controls, and responsible AI practices for AI enabled engineering environments.


Leadership and Capability Development


. Represent CGI as a senior AI practitioner in client engagements, workshops, demonstrations, and executive forums.
. Contribute to CGI methodologies, accelerators, reference architectures, and go to market offerings.


Required Qualifications


. 10+ years in software engineering, architecture, consulting, or technology leadership.
. Experience designing and delivering enterprise AI solutions.
. Strong background in cloud and data platforms (i.e. Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric, or similar)
. Hands on experience building prototypes, PoCs, and MVPs.
. Experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI platforms (i.e. Google Cloud Platform Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie, or similar).
. Experience with AI assisted development and AI native SDLC practices (i.e. spec driven engineering)
. Strong client facing expertise, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
. Experience leading architecture and transformation initiatives.
. Knowledge of AI governance, security, and responsible AI.
. Experience supporting pursuits, solutioning, or pre sales activities.
. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications


. Experience scaling AI adoption & Responsible AI programs across large organizations.
. Experience creating reusable AI assets and accelerators.
. Experience in regulated industries or public sector environments.
. Experience working for a previous consulting organization.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 $251,100.00.
