Controller
The client have a lean finance and accounting team, and are looking for a Controller to oversee all the accounting for the business. The team are looking for a candidate with prior managerial experience to help manage the team as well as oversee all accounting operations for the construction projects. The company are a small family run business from the construction, real estate and property industry.
Job Description
Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Oversee and track the budgets of all construction projects. WIP reporting. Cashflow management and reporting. Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to stakeholders. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance their professional growth. Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial planning. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Controller should have: At least 5 years of experience across finance and accounting MUST have prior experience in the construction industry Prior experience using the system Viewpoint Spectrum and Excel - highly desirable MUST have prior management experience Good written an verbal communication skills
