General Function The EyeCare Advisor delivers the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring patients receive the highest quality optometric care. The advisor integrates the brand story, executes flawless patient experiences, and links the doctor and retail functions to achieve key performance indicators. Major Duties & Responsibilities Greets customers within 30 seconds. Answers the telephone within three rings with a friendly, courteous manner. Explains required paperwork, tests, products and services. Attentively reviews prescriptions and patient information, consulting the Optician, Managing Doctor or Retail Management when necessary. Displays patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers. Completes work accurately and thoroughly under time pressure and customer volume. Identifies unsatisfied customers and resolves issues quickly. Demonstrates knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation. Handles and files all patient records in an organized, HIPAA‑compliant manner. Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment. Operates the POS system with accuracy, handling payments, credit cards, layaways, discounts, insurance, and coupons in accordance with company security procedures. Explains “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times. Maintains store appearance and visual displays per company guidelines. Maintains a safe working environment for associates and patients. Responds quickly to changes in store promotions with appropriate staff communications, graphics and point‑of‑purchase materials. Retail Demonstrates product knowledge; accurately describes lens and frame features and benefits. Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit vision, lifestyle and budget. Doctor's Office Performs all pre‑examination testing accurately, explaining measurements and answering questions. Provides coaching on contact lens care and handling using clinical and product knowledge. Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory; supports the Optometrist clinically. Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Strong customer service skills (internal and external). Knowledge of current fashion trends. Strong communicator and listener. Problem‑solving ability. Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators. Organization skills. Sales skills. Strong basic math skills. Knowledge of office and store merchandise. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, retail and/or optical. Strong interpersonal skills. Pay Range: 19.81 – 28.01 Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
