James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN

HCA Healthcare is seeking a James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. In this leadership-focused role, you will work at the bedside as an experienced emergency department nurse while coordinating the day-to-day clinical operations of a busy ER. You will provide direct, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, performing triage, rapid assessment, medication administration, and ongoing evaluation for patients presenting with a wide range of acute and critical conditions. As a key clinical leader on your shift, you will serve as a resource and role model for nursing staff, supporting evidence-based practices, mentoring newer team members, and promoting a culture of teamwork, safety, and respect. You will help manage patient flow and throughput, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary partners to ensure timely care, and make real-time staffing and assignment decisions based on patient acuity and volume. The ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator will participate in quality improvement initiatives, reinforce compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards, and support key performance metrics such as sepsis, stroke, and chest pain protocols, door-to-provider times, and patient experience.
