Cost Accountant

Position Summary Month-end accounting duties including journal voucher completion, account reconciliation, variance analysis, and reports/statement preparation. Standard cost development and monthly variance application calculation. Responsibilities Work closely with the I/T Department for the implementation of new system enhancements. Direct interaction with supervisors and managers in the annual budgeting and planning process. Responsible for inventory control for plant(s) using work orders and repetitive shop floor controls; take lead in coordinating annual physical inventory. Reconcile book to physical differences. Develop and maintain written procedures/work‑instructions for division cost accounting duties. Maintain standard costs for all part numbers; develop and enter standard costs for new or redesigned parts or Engineering Changes Notices (ECNs). Develop and maintain ongoing audits of standard costs, work centers, and routing codes; review new routings to ensure correct structure to be costed. Perform monthly closing activities, analyze manufacturing variances, and produce financial schedules. Work on special projects; prepare audit schedules, corporate requests, margin review, etc. Participate in the quote review process. Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and forecasting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting. 2 to 5 years of division accounting experience. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong personal computer skills with Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation Pay Range: $87,050 to $145,250 annually. Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
