Job Summary Accountable for consistent, safe, high‑quality care of all laboring patients assigned from admission to post‑delivery. Familiar with vaginal and C‑section births, fetal monitoring and providing care for patients who receive various types of anesthesia. Will demonstrate expertise in providing care for patients during PACU period as well as newborn care for the first two hours of life. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, manage fetal monitoring, support anesthesia protocols, and assist during postoperative recovery and neonatal care. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Must be an RN registered nurse in the State of Texas – compact or multi‑state license accepted. Associate Degree is required – BSN required within 24 months of hire/transfer into RN position. Minimum of three years recent experience as an RN in Women Services in a hospital environment (L&D, Mother Baby, Antepartum). Demonstrated ability to care for women of childbearing age and infants up to four years old. Participates in an on‑call schedule. Must have L&D experience – 3 years minimum experience.
