Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions) A mental health rehabilitation worker under the treatment supervision of a mental health professional, treatment director or certified rehabilitation specialist supervise recipients to assure their health and safety; and provide rehabilitative mental health services according to the recipient's treatment plan plus: Respond immediately to emergency situations following established policies and procedures. Consult with the mental health professional and or Treatment Director on any psychiatric emergency, and follow directions as given. Provide a supportive, person-centered care, trauma informed care and strengths-based perspective with all residents. Complete all recipient skill-building and mental health interventions as assigned by the mental health professional, or Treatment Director. Closely monitor activities throughout the facility. Conduct hourly room checks throughout the facility. Regularly conduct fire drills, severe weather drills. Maintain safe access to medications for residents.
