Cardiothoracic Surgery | Clinic + Call Coverage | Level II Trauma Center

365 Healthcare is seeking experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioners for a locum tenens opportunity in Mason City, Iowa. This assignment offers a combination of weekday clinical coverage and call responsibilities within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery program. Competitive compensation, malpractice coverage, and travel and lodging coverage are provided.

Schedule
• Monday - Friday clinical coverage
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Night call during weekdays
• Weekend 24-hour call coverage
• Shared call rotation of 1:2
• Ongoing coverage opportunities available

Coverage Needed
• Multiple blocks available beginning in September
• Holiday coverage opportunities available
• Ongoing future coverage available

Practice Overview
• Level II Trauma Center
• Epic EMR
• Cardiothoracic surgery service with established support
• Approximately 125 CABG procedures annually
• Few emergent cases
• Collaborative care environment

Clinical Responsibilities
• Cardiothoracic surgery clinic coverage
• Inpatient rounding and patient management
• Night call coverage during weekdays
• Weekend 24-hour call coverage
• Evaluation and management of cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Coordination of perioperative care
• Documentation utilizing Epic EMR

Support Structure
• Shared call rotation
• Dedicated hospital support staff
• Imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services onsite
• Collaborative surgical team environment

Requirements
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Active Iowa license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum two years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
• Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required
• Ability to cover at least some of the requested dates
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Current NPDB Self-Query
