Location Bangor, ME Type of Employment Contract ID 6308 Role & Responsibilities Under the direction of the project manager, provide the project team project cost estimating during all phases of the projects. Preparation of Cost Estimates from the Initiating Phase to the Project Close-Out of all assigned projects and for all disciplines. In collaboration with company project engineering, responsible for negotiating design modifications (with OE) and construction change orders with contractor. Work with Project Manager and Scheduler to develop and refine Integrated Master Schedules. Support Project Managers, as required, to plan projects, resolve issues and provide cost information. Establish estimating cost standards formats to ensure overall program consistency and cost quality. Support as directed new functions and requirements because of Risk Analysis Workshops such as contingency management and cost risk management. Document all Basis of Estimates and Estimate Revisions. Utilize Document Control to archive current and historical estimates and supporting data utilized in estimate development. Support cost database development, management, and maintenance. Familiar with industry Cost Engineering Standards in addition to the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and best practice 46R-11. Qualifications / Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience in estimating the design and construction of electric transmission (38kV and above) & distribution (15kV / 34.5kV) projects. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or relevant. Experience with Accubid preferred. T&D project experience required.
