Resident Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee rail and transportation construction projects from field execution through project completion. This role is responsible for providing overall construction administration, ensuring compliance with contract documents, safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules. The Resident Engineer will lead field operations, coordinate with contractors, inspectors, designers, and client representatives, and ensure the successful delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline. 10+ years of construction management or resident engineering experience on transportation or heavy civil infrastructure projects. Experience managing field construction activities for rail, transit, highway, bridge, or transportation infrastructure projects . Strong knowledge of construction administration, contract documents, specifications, and quality assurance processes. Experience reviewing construction schedules, contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders. Prior experience supporting agencies such as MTA, Amtrak, NJ Transit, LIRR, Metro-North, DOT, or other transportation authorities . Proven experience supervising inspectors, office engineers, and field personnel. Strong understanding of construction safety programs and OSHA regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project documentation systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
