Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services company, is seeking a Senior Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Lead to fulfill a contract-to-hire opportunity for a client based in Jersey City, NJ.

This candidate will support one of the largest and most complex Oracle Fusion Payroll environments in the enterprise space. This is a highly hands-on functional leadership role focused on Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll operations, complex payroll calculations, FAST Formula development, multi-state payroll compliance, payroll troubleshooting, and production support.

The ideal professional will possess deep Oracle Fusion Payroll expertise, strong operational payroll knowledge, and the ability to independently configure payroll elements, deductions, formulas, and payroll logic within a large-scale production environment. This role requires someone comfortable operating in high-pressure payroll support scenarios where accuracy, speed, and deep functional expertise are critical.

• 7+ years of hands-on Oracle HCM / Oracle Fusion HCM experience
• 5+ years of deep Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll experience within enterprise environments
• Strong expertise supporting Oracle Payroll in large-scale production environments
• Extensive experience configuring payroll elements, deductions, payroll flows, and payroll processing logic
• Deep knowledge of Oracle FAST Formulas and complex payroll calculation logic
• Experience supporting Time & Labor integrations into Oracle Payroll
• Strong understanding of overtime calculations, blended-rate calculations, retro pay, off-cycle payrolls, and payroll reconciliation
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll environments, including California payroll complexities
• Experience supporting quarterly payroll processing activities, tax reporting, and year-end processing including W-2 generation
• Experience troubleshooting payroll production issues under strict payroll deadlines
• Experience coordinating Oracle quarterly updates, legislative patches, and regression testing efforts
• Strong understanding of payroll operations, payroll cycles, payroll balancing, and payroll support processes
• Experience working with Oracle Support and managing production escalations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner directly with Payroll, HR, and technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll functionality within a highly complex enterprise payroll environment
• Configure and maintain payroll elements, deductions, payroll calculations, and payroll processing logic
• Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize complex Oracle FAST Formulas
• Support payroll operations across hourly, salaried, and expatriate employee populations
• Troubleshoot payroll processing issues, payroll failures, calculation discrepancies, and production escalations
• Serve as a Level 2 escalation point for payroll-related production support issues
• Support off-cycle payrolls, payroll corrections, retroactive adjustments, and special payroll processing scenarios
• Partner with Time & Labor teams to support payroll-related time calculations and integrations
• Support complex overtime calculations, blended-rate calculations, vacation payout rules, and state-specific payroll requirements
• Coordinate quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, legislative patches, and payroll regression testing activities
• Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and tax reporting
• Collaborate with Benefits, Finance/GL, HR, and external vendors to support downstream payroll integrations
• Participate in payroll-related compliance initiatives and regulatory changes
• Document payroll configurations, formulas, operational procedures, and support processes
• Provide functional leadership and guidance across Oracle Payroll initiatives and enhancements
