allies.We are looking for you to join our Life Cycle Sustainment Organization Team as a Test Technician based out of Elkridge, MD.What you'll get to do:Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements in accordance with customer specificationsInstall, calibrate, and maintain electronic communication equipment at various customer sitesTroubleshoots and resolves technical problems remotely and in a field environment and makes recommendations for corrective actionCommunicates with internal and external customers, Program Managers, and executivesConstruct, test, operate, analyze, and modify complex systemsAids in the creation and modification of technical publications and proceduresPlan, layout, develop and construct experimental and prototype devices and test equipment working with very general incomplete informationPerform tests and measurements on complex devices, assemblies, and systemsPerform initial procedural tests on new and/or changed equipment, make modifications as required, record and analyze data, and supply reports and test specificationsTroubleshoot complete, complex systems and/or complete test set-ups to locate and repair defective areasRecommend empirical design changes on components, units, and systemsAccurately identify operational problems, difficulties and deficiencies and suggest operational changes to improve timeliness, efficiency, and performanceDemonstrate proper techniques for testing, modifying, and maintaining assigned equipmentDevelop methods and techniques for effectively monitoring various tests on a systems levelDetermine what effect engineering changes will have on the total system and initiate action necessary to ensure compatibility.Provide information, guidance, training and direction to lower classified personnel, and internal/ external customers.Perform computer and network administration duties on small and medium scale computer systems.Troubleshoot small network problems and provide training and instruction to users or computer and network systemsMake design change recommendations to improve producibility and maintainability.Provide customer and management with status reports showing percent complete and estimated completion datesWork with Management in quoting new and follow-on work using experience and knowledge of assembly processesWork from various forms of documentation such as engineering drawings, sketches, and engineering change notes, and frequently from verbal informationCheck work for compliance to drawing specifications and configurations periodically during the assembly processAnalyze and evaluate electronic assembly operations utilizing knowledge and experience to resolve problemsMake recommendations to program and management personnel for process improvementsWork with engineers on design problems in developing units and in making design changes which will improve performance of unitPerform complete mechanical assembly of various basic units and assemblies to established proceduresPerform necessary fitting, aligning, and adjusting to drawing specificationsInstall Heli-coils, rivets, swage nuts to panels, etc. Layout and drill holes, counter bore, saw, cut out and the likeBasic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience working in an electronic or technical field or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of experience working in an electronic or technical fieldExperienced with computers, test applications, PC maintenance network requirements, TCP/IP or other protocols, and small computer or network administrationExperience working with electronic and computer principles and techniquesExperience with networks, network protocols, and computer system administrationExperience with wiring, assembling and testing LRUs and SRUsExperience reading engineering drawings and schematicsExperienced troubleshooting down to the component levelExperience using a variety of hand tools including crimpers and strippersExperience working with limited resources, documentation, or engineering supportExperience working with computers and proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience working in a variety of environmental conditions including high and/or confined spaces, damp dusty locations, freezing or hot conditionsExperience lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, and standingAbility to lift, carry, move, and use equipment up to 50lbsMust possess a valid Driver's License with no suspensions or restrictionsAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security ClearanceU.S. citizenship is requiredPreferred QualificationsA Current/Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higherBachelor's Degree in a STEM fieldExperienced with Military electronic/technical environmentsExperience with SAP and GOLDExperience working with the FAA, DoD or other government agencyWhat We Can Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
