Opportunity:

Telemetry Technician - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour variable shifts, either 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM or 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM
• 72 hours guaranteed biweekly with overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Weekend coverage required for 3 out of every 6 weekends with holiday rotation
• 13-week contract
• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Potential to float to Aspirus Wausau location, approximately 30 minutes away; mileage will not be reimbursed
• Travelers may be placed on call for low census hours, with up to 36 unbillable low census hours per contract
• If called back to the facility, call back pay applies with a minimum of 2 hours
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry using GE CareScapes systems
• Communicate pertinent patient information based on observation and data collection to the Registered Nurse
• Centralized telemetry monitoring role covering onsite and offsite monitoring for 11 hospitals with an average of 40 patients per shift
• Minimum 1 year of current inpatient acute hospital experience required; 1 travel contract highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass EKG test within 3 days of accepted offer
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required; Certified Tele Tech preferred
• High School Diploma required
• Any color scrubs permitted

This healthcare organization operates a centralized telemetry monitoring unit that provides both onsite and offsite cardiac monitoring services across 11 hospitals. The facility is equipped with GE CareScapes monitoring systems and maintains a high standard of patient care through continuous cardiac telemetry observation. The organization serves a large regional patient population and supports a collaborative care environment between telemetry technicians and registered nurses.
