Heavy Machine Operator The Heavy Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery in forest timber removal projects. This role requires knowledge of various types of equipment, as well as a commitment to safety and environmental standards. Operates heavy power equipment, including processors, dozers, and feller bunchers, to facilitate timber removal and land clearing. Operates and maintains heavy machinery for timber removal operations, ensuring it functions optimally. Performs basic maintenance and minor repairs on processors, dozers, and feller bunchers. Loads and transports dirt, rocks, timber, and other materials as needed for disposal or processing. Drives and maneuvers equipment to clear topsoil, rocks, and vegetation efficiently. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. completion of a heavy machinery operator apprenticeship program is preferred. Class A commercial driver's license. Operation monitoring and quality control analysis. Proficiency in operation and control of heavy machinery.
