Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 Experience: Greater than 2 years of recent emergency department experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required - AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan with prescribed interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriate duties to healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements: Commitment to safety and wellbeing of associates and patients.
