Production Test Technician

This role ensures high-quality product output by following strict process controls, cleanliness standards, and detailed work instructions.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Perform precision assembly of infrared camera components, including optics, sensors, and mechanical housingsExecute functional and environmental testing of IR camera systems per defined proceduresInspect components and finished assemblies using microscopes and metrology tools to ensure quality standards are metFollow detailed work instructions, travelers, and engineering documentation with high accuracyMaintain strict adherence to cleanroom protocols (gowning, contamination control, ESD handling)Record production data, test results, and non-conformances accurately in manufacturing systems (e.g., Camstar or equivalent)Identify defects or process deviations and escalate issues to engineering or supervisory staffSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, throughput, and qualityAssist with equipment setup, calibration checks, and routine maintenanceJob Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred1–3+ years of experience in cleanroom assembly, electronics manufacturing, or optical/mechanical assemblyExperience working with small components and precision tools (tweezers, torque drivers, microscopes)Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) and contamination control practicesAbility to read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and specificationsBasic computer skills for data entry and manufacturing systemsGood communication skillsComputer Skills: Word, Excel and EmailMust be able to sit or stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift 40 lbs., unassistedApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.Salary Range: $39,000.00-$52,000.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
