Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Neuro)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown Neuro unit, monitoring and managing patients requiring intermediate-level care
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, as evaluated through the safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Work rotating holiday coverage, including at least every other holiday
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty being applied for
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license required at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred
• Experience gained within a single location preferred, though combined experience across locations will be considered
