The DevOps Engineer will deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service (IaaS) providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack); configure and manage Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website; debug cluster-based computing architectures; use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems; install and manage open source monitoring tools; use configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt); develop architecture for continuous integration and deployment, and continuous monitoring; and use containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket). Responsibilities Deploy and configure services using IaaS providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack). Qualifications Experience in deployment and network operations, or systems administration with scripting, coding and development focused on planning, testing and deployment. Knowledge of configuring Linux Slackware web servers; creating custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, and C code. Familiarity with developing applications for Android systems and automation tools. Experience Required Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment. Working knowledge of cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack. Experience with Windows and Linux server and IIS Web Server infrastructure; willingness to learn and support Adobe ColdFusion. Excellent understanding of Microsoft Visual C++, Python, Perl, and Java. Working knowledge of databases including Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL. Excellent troubleshooting and awareness of key DevOps concepts. Education This classification requires a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Additional Information In-person position with possible telework.
