The psychiatric unit nurse is responsible to conduct intake interviews, assess and evaluate the patient, establish a plan of care, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and may conduct therapeutic groups.Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience: Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
