YouTube & Paid Social Media Specialist – Seasonal Contractor

Contract Period: Mid-December–April

Primary Focus: YouTube planning and buying, with paid social execution support

Position Summary

TaxAct is seeking an experienced YouTube & Paid Social Media Specialist to provide hands-on campaign planning, execution, monitoring, and optimization during our tax-season marketing cycle. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Paid Social and broader media team, this role will serve as a key execution resource for in-house YouTube media buying while providing additional paid social support during peak periods.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience managing YouTube campaigns, is comfortable using data to inform decisions, and can effectively manage campaign execution and optimization in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage hands-on YouTube and Demand Gen campaign planning and execution, including campaign builds, trafficking, QA, and other activities related to ongoing campaign maintenance and updates.

Monitor and optimize campaign performance across the funnel, including pacing, delivery, creative performance, targeting, budgets, and other campaign-health indicators, proactively identifying issues and opportunities.

Analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights, testing opportunities, and optimization recommendations that support Brand and Performance objectives.

Provide hands-on paid social support across Meta and TikTok during peak periods and partner with media leadership and cross-functional teams to support campaign planning, creative execution, reporting, measurement, and other seasonal needs.

Qualifications

Significant hands-on experience planning, buying, and managing YouTube and Demand Gen advertising campaigns across different parts of the marketing funnel.

Strong understanding of YouTube and Demand Gen campaign setup and trafficking, QA, targeting, creative management, budget pacing, and optimization.

Working knowledge of paid social platforms, particularly Meta and TikTok, with the ability to provide hands-on campaign support as needed.

Strong analytical skills and data literacy, with the ability to interpret campaign performance and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Experience collaborating effectively with media, creative, analytics, and data teams.

Familiarity with media reporting and measurement tools and processes.

Workload Expectations

Peak season (Mid-December–April): 40 hours per week (full-time)

Focus on YouTube campaign management, pacing, creative updates and optimization, with additional Meta and TikTok execution support as needed.

Success Measures

Success will be measured by accurate and timely campaign execution, consistent campaign monitoring, proactive optimization, effective management of YouTube investment, and contribution toward year-over-year improvement in Brand and Performance outcomes.
