About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. - EPIC experience of 6+ months within the past 12 months. License: - Active VA or Compact License required at the time of submission. Certifications: - BLS - ACLS Must-Have: - Cardiac telemetry background within the past year. - Experience in a medical cardiac step-down unit. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a telemetry specialty. The unit consists of 24 rooms with a patient ratio of 1:5. The patient population includes adult to geriatric patients with cardiac conditions. Conditions may include CHF, rule out MI, post-MI, unstable angina, and other cardiac issues. Dysrhythmias and medication administration may also be part of the duties. Candidates must be able to work some holidays and weekends, with six weekend shifts over six weeks. Candidates are expected to provide a statement of EPIC experience. Compliance with vaccination requirements is mandatory. Travelers must comply with all facility policies regarding smoking and nicotine use. Floating may be required in accordance with unit policies. Additional non-billable training modules may be required.
