Electro-Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities Follow all Company policies and guidelines Adhere to attendance and safety guidelines Service blown film production equipment to minimize downtime and scrap Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled and directed by Team Leader Complete open work orders in a timely fashion as directed by Team Leader Record daily work done in emailed shift report and Plant Maintenance Log Maintain Maintenance shop cleanliness and orderliness Assemble, disassemble and convert or upgrade production lines or support equipment as required for repairs, upgrades and/or installations Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and schedule necessary preventive maintenance routines Weld metal parts, equipment pieces, etc. as needed Work overtime as required Rotate on-call schedule with maintenance staff Order parts as needed for service Essential Functions Lifting up to 50 lbs. Climbing stairs Working from secured platforms up to 40 feet high Standing for extended periods of time Wear all personal safety equipment required by Company policy and follow all Company safety policies and procedures Understand and consistently perform daily tasks (paperwork, computer entries, cleaning) Operate machinery safely Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. Knowledge of a specialized field gained through specialized training equivalent to one year of college or trade school or equivalent experience of four to five years preferred. Experience: Two to four years of experience in industrial electrical repair including drives, instrumentation, and process controls involving high-speed production equipment such as extruders, resin conveying equipment, packing equipment, and state‑of‑the‑art process controls. Special Skills: Must possess basic mechanical and electrical skills. Must demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little or no supervision. Ability to read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings and schematics. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment, including drives, motors, etc. Must work well in a Team environment.
