The Warehouse Supervisor is directly responsible for all activities of the employees reporting to them. The supervisor will be responsible for either the day or night team that operates the warehouse. Supervisor ensures the following: safe work environment, exceptional sanitation. Fair and professional treatment of all associates, quality and quantity of work performed and customer relations. At Midwest Refrigerated Services, we are driven by our Midwest Values of: ModestyIntegrityDependabilityWork EthicEfficiencySafetyTrustIt is the expectation that all employees exemplify these values.General Accountabilities include:Provide direct supervision and support to shipping office personnelEnsure compliance with all MRS policies and standard operating proceduresAddress and resolve issues involving customers, carriers, and driversManage Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D) claimsMaintain accurate documentation for accessorial chargesOversee employee performance and administer disciplinary actions as neededMonitor operations to ensure alignment with benchmarking standardsTroubleshoot and resolve system-related issuesContribute to hiring and staffing decisions through feedback and recommendationsAttend and participate in meetings and training sessions held outside of regular hoursTake part in incident investigations and reporting processesProvide coverage for other supervisors during scheduled time offPerform additional duties as assigned by management Skills Required:Proficient in basic computer operations and fundamental math skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishCapable of both following and providing clear, effective instructionsDemonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within a team in a fast-paced environmentComfortable interacting with and supporting various levels of management Prerequisites:High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience operating forklifts and pallet jacksPrior leadership experience in a warehouse setting preferredFamiliarity with RF-controlled inventory systemsExperience handling food products is a plus Benefits and Perks:MRS benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, Flex Spending Account, Dependent Care Flex Spending Account available the 1st of the month following 30 days of hire.
