OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (PRN)

Overview Horizon Health Corporation is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Behavioral Health) to work on the inpatient psychiatric units (24-bed Psych Unit) in Grand Forks, ND. We are planning to expand to an additional 24 beds in 2026. Responsibilities PRN - Must be able to work 36 hours/month with one weekend shift. Provide individual and group therapy to patients and family education when indicated. Provide OT evaluations of patients. Document all clinical services provided. Provide consultation on OT related problems, specific treatment techniques, and other programming issues. Promote an understanding of OT principles and team involvement in patient care. Participate in departmental meetings. Maintain professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit milieu, and hospital mission and philosophy. Participate in performance improvement. Comply with all mandatory training. Other duties as assigned. Therapies to be delivered in accordance with the patient’s developmental, psychological, and physical level of function. Therapists will model ethical conduct per the facility mission and the North Dakota Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners Code of Ethics. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational therapy. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current license from the North Dakota Board of Occupational Therapy Examiner required (LOT). Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred (OTR). Rec Therapist Certification – CTRS. One-year experience in a neurorehabilitation or psychiatric setting, preferred.
