About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Required Must-Have: Level I Trauma experience. Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with a passing score of 80%. Competency in maintaining a sterile field in clinical procedures. Completion of simulation lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Description: The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will be responsible for circulating during procedures. RNs will manage a caseload of 10-25 patients per day in the cardiac cath lab setting. The nursing role requires competency in interventional cardiology and vascular procedures. Call requirements include coverage for 6 to 10 shifts per schedule with a 30-minute response time. RNs will work in a collaborative environment with techs and other healthcare professionals. Weekend shifts will be required as part of the rotating schedule. Duties include maintaining patient safety and comfort during procedures. Collaboration with the healthcare team is essential for optimal patient outcomes. The ability to handle stress and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment is important. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Regular participation in education and competency assessments is expected. The unit will include patients with a range of cardiac diagnoses and conditions. Experience with specific cardiac procedures such as TAVR and IABP is preferred. All RNs are expected to uphold high standards of nursing practice and patient care.
