Experienced pipe layers needed for water main, sewer, and storm drain installation and repair projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Pipe Layers R&R Contracting Utilities is hiring experienced pipe layers for water main, sanitary sewer, and storm drain projects across Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Delaware, and Pennsylvania. What You'll Do Install, repair, and replace water mains, sewer lines, and storm drain systems Set pipe to grade using laser levels and surveying equipment Connect pipes using mechanical joints, fusion welding, or bell-and-spigot connections Perform bedding, backfill, and compaction around installed pipe Work in trenches and excavations following confined space and OSHA safety protocols Assist with hydrostatic testing and system commissioning What We’re Looking For 2+ years of pipe laying experience (water, sewer, or storm drain) Knowledge of pipe materials (DIP, PVC, HDPE, concrete) Ability to read utility plans and follow grade specifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Competent Person certification for trenching and excavation a plus Physical ability to work in trenches and lift heavy materials Reliable transportation and valid ID What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Prevailing wage jobs on municipal and government contracts Consistent pipeline of water and sewer projects OSHA and trade-specific training provided Advancement to lead pipe layer or foreman Location: Maryland / DC / Virginia Status: Open — Hiring immediately We're always hiring experienced laborers, equipment operators, and flaggers.
