Job Overview Position: Java Developer with Python and GCP || Only USC and GC Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Responsibilities Provide thought leadership, engineering expertise and direction to the engineering teams; collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams and cross‑functional technology groups to drive continuous delivery. Drive user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software applications, and test and build automation tools. Own all technical aspects of software development (architecture, design, and development of systems) for assigned applications. Perform hands‑on software development, writing code, API specs, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints. Drive consistent development practices, tools and common components. Develop deep understanding of tie‑ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains. Work with technical product managers contributing to blueprints and assisting with annual planning of feature sets. Identify opportunities for adopting new technology to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges. Communicate effectively to internal and external business partners on solution design. Qualifications Strong analytical & strategic thinking skills; ability to interpret technical and business objectives and challenges. Experience with porting/software configuration, agile methodologies, software development/testing, and object‑oriented analysis and design across multiple platforms. Designing high‑availability applications. Product engineering knowledge. Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications 8+ years of commercial software development experience. Proficiency with distributed/multi‑tier systems and application development, including excellent programming skills in Java and Python. Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, micro‑services, Kafka, relational and/or NoSQL databases. Experience developing, hosting solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Vertex AI) and leveraging GCP services for feature implementations. Experience with Agile development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery; working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools. Experience with automated release management using Maven, Salt, Git, Jenkins. Architecture design and modeling skills and strong abilities in designing and modeling complex systems and architectures. Good understanding of web technologies ( Apache) and familiarity with Unix/Linux. Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Experience with Python is a plus. Excellent written communication and documentation abilities; proactive continuous improvement mindset. Knowledge and experience of Contact Center ecosystem/Genesys Framework and Architecture; familiarity with the Genesys ecosystem is preferable. Secondary Skills Experience building and integrating AI/ML solutions into production systems. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch. Hands‑on experience with Generative AI technologies (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI‑powered application development. Experience leveraging Vertex AI for model development, deployment, and monitoring. Awareness of responsible AI practices, including model governance, bias mitigation, and explainability. Leadership & Communication Lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders; strong leadership and communication skills essential.
