This position is responsible for safety and may direct the workflow of a crew over drilling operations. The Directional Bore operator is responsible for the safety and quality of the crew.Minimum Required Qualifications:Ability to meet background requirements and pass a drug test.Knowledge of the telecommunications industryAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to work independentlyAbility to supervise and motivate othersAbility to communicate effectively within all levels of the organizationAbility to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to make decisions and work collaboratively with others to solve problemsAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to analyze and interpret dataAbility to effectively present information to managementAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job dutiesAbility to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs, and expectationsAn energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image;Good verbal communications and writing skills.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Operate heavy equipment, including the directional Drill.Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment using measuring and marking equipment.Confer with the Project Manager, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.Review and process damage claims.Follow the Company's policies and procedures.Perform other duties as requested by the manager.Additional Qualifications:1+ years of construction work experienceUnderstand all safety requirements per OSHA specifications.A valid Driver's License is requiredCDL-A preferredExperience with the operation of Drills and/ or other Heavy equipment.Working Conditions - Field environment, working in inclement weather; Flexibility of schedule.Disclaimer StatementThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements, or working conditions associated with this position.
