Role Overview: The Center Medical Specialist performs physical examinations, assesses donor medical histories, and determines donor suitability at plasma donation centers. Key Responsibilities Conduct donor evaluations, build rapport, and ensure customer satisfaction Maintain donor and staff confidentiality Educate donors on health and test results, and manage adverse events or injuries Assess medical histories, medications, and health conditions for ongoing suitability Assist in training staff and administer employee hepatitis vaccinations Qualifications & Skills Licensed or certified as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT according to state requirements Current CPR certification Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, twisting, light lifting, and occasional walking or crouching Excellent hand-eye coordination, hearing, and vision (correctable to standard levels) Strong communication skills to effectively inform and listen to donors and staff Ability to work independently and adapt to changing conditions in a biological environment with exposure to fluids and equipment Key Duties Conduct physical exams, evaluate health histories, provide donor education, manage injuries, and assist in employee training in a plasma center setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr AccessHealth
