Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid- to senior-level associate with expertise in affordable housing to join its team in Chicago, IL. The role involves working with developers, investors, and governmental entities to manage housing projects nationwide. Duties Manage affordable housing transactions, including finance, development, and incentives. Handle Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) closings, refinancing, acquisitions, and dispositions. Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and conduct due diligence. Requirements 3+ years of law firm experience in affordable housing transactions. Experience with LIHTC and other housing transactions. Strong academic record with a J.D. from an accredited law school. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a nationally recognized law school. Certifications Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
