Tryfacta is seeking a CA RN - MED/SURG for our client in Arcata CA 95518. This is a 13-week contract assignment. Position Title: CA RN - MED/SURG Location: Arcata CA 95518 Duration: 13 Weeks Work Schedule: 7:00pm - 7:30am - three 12-hr. shifts weekly Pay rate: $62/hr to $67/hr. (negotiable)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients.
• Assess patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in health status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patients for complications and promptly communicate changes to physicians and the healthcare team.
• Perform wound care, pain management, and other routine Med/Surg nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the CPSI/Evident EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, discharge instructions, and ongoing care.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
• Provide effective care during 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM7:30 AM) and participate in required holiday coverage.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Current and active California RN License
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Experience caring for adult Med/Surg patients
• Ability to work 3 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM7:30 AM)
• Ability to work 36 hours/week
• Willingness to provide holiday coverage
• Recent negative TB screening within 12 months of the contract start date
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and patient-care skills
• Ability to accurately document patient care using CPSI/Evident EMR
• Strong teamwork and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
