Finish Machine Operator

Hourly rate based on experience and will be discussed during the initial phone screen

1st Shift

Responsibilities:

Finish Machine Operators are responsible for operating pouch-making equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining production and quality standards. This position performs machine changeovers, preventive maintenance, quality checks, roll changes, splice removal, production reporting, and data entry.

The operator also supports the daily work of Finish Assistants and helps train new and current employees. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented team member who is comfortable working with production equipment and helping others succeed.

• Set up, operate, and monitor pouch-making equipment.
  
• Perform machine changeovers accurately and efficiently.
  
• Complete preventive maintenance activities on assigned equipment.
  
• Change material rolls and remove splices as required.
  
• Perform quality control checks and enter required production and quality data.
  
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  
• Keep equipment and the surrounding work area clean, orderly, and production ready.
  
• Oversee and support the daily work performed by Finish Assistants.
  
• Train new hires and current employees on assigned processes and equipment.
  
• Remove trash, trim, and production waste from the work area.
  
• Follow all plant safety rules and report safety or equipment concerns immediately.
  
• Report food safety or quality concerns to a person with authority to initiate corrective action.
  
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  

·        Ability to complete Finish Assistant certification requirements.

·        Basic math and computer skills.

·        Basic hand tool skills.

·        Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·        Ability to give and receive clear direction when working with

teammates.

·       Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·       Dependable approach to safety, quality, documentation, and

production procedures.

·       Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
