Budget Analyst

About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Duties Write and edit statements justifying and supporting funded and unfunded requirements. Identify and analyze trends in the obligation and expenditure of funds to ensure that objectives of the annual financial plan are being met on a timely basis. Perform analysis of budget requests, such as cost benefit analysis, program trade-offs, and exploring alternative methods of funding. Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations as required. Prepare recommendations to the Budget Officer for remedial and corrective actions when emergency or unpredicted conditions dictate reprogramming procedures. Requirements Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
