Job Summary: General Utility

The General Utility position is responsible for a variety of vehicle service and custodial tasks essential to the daily operations of GRTC. This role ensures that all revenue vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and properly maintained in assigned areas. The position also supports facility cleanliness by maintaining a tidy service station and performing trash collection duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Pumps fuel, checks oil, washes, cleans and stores revenue vehicles in assigned areas.
Maintains a clean service station and maintenance work area.
Cleans and performs trash pickup detail.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience

High school education required.
A valid Virginia CDL with a P endorsement required. with a Minium +3 Points

Physical Demands

Combination of indoor and outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions, as well as exposure to diesel fumes, cleaning solvents and lubricants
Occasional stooping, bending, and climbing
Lifting of up to 25 lbs.
