Job Details Location: Tacoma, WA 98409 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $21.75 - $23.25 Hourly Job Shift: Graveyard Job Category: Manufacturing Position Summary This position’s responsibility is to issue, prep, and dry resins needed to facilitate injection molding production. Job Function Position Type: Non-Exempt Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00pm – 6:00am; Work 6.5/hrs. and receive 8/hrs. of pay plus a $1.50 Shift Differential Location: Demgy Pacific, LLC, Tacoma WA Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Applicable Metrics Labor reporting percentage (daily avg) Labor reported within BOM setup times, vs labor outside of setup times (should be a ratio) Contaminated Materials (Number of instances) Adhere to the Demgy Pacific attendance point system Adhere to the Demgy Pacific job variance to standard metric Adhere to the Demgy Pacific Safety protocols Job Responsibilities Disassembly and cleaning of dehumidifying dryers. Operation and setup of additive feeders, barrel tumbler, and various dehumidifying dryers on the production floor. Properly stage/store resins and auxiliary equipment in a clean and organized fashion. Use a variety of hand tools in an appropriate and safe manner. Proficiency in the ERP system (IQMS) as it pertains to the position of Material Handler. Generate work orders (MRO’s) for equipment repair. Consistently clean presses, auxiliary equipment, and the production floor. Operation of injection molding machines in support of production needs. Assist the floor lead in the giving of operator breaks in the event of a staffing shortage. Assist the materials warehouse in the re-stocking and issuing of resins. Operate a forklift, pallet jack and reach truck. Perform tasks with minimal supervision. Above all, perform the previously listed tasks in a Safe manner, including the use of PPE when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation as required, following DEMGY Pacific’s document and record control procedures as applicable to the position. Ensure that housekeeping within the department is properly maintained. Follow Demgy 5S program (workstation organization/locations maintained). Follow policies outlined in the Employee Handbook. Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor. Qualifications Job Skill Requirements Effective communication: Able to speak, read, and write English. Able to keep accurate quantity records. Able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Basic mechanical skills Basic computer skills Team oriented Efficient and action driven Motivated self-starter Dependable with reliable attendance 5S Lean tasks and projects at the direction leadership Minimum Education and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
