SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established law firm is seeking a Counsel or Principal-level attorney to join its Estates & Trusts practice in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, along with a strong understanding of corporate and partnership tax matters. This attorney will work with individuals, families, business owners, and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate planning, tax, transactional, and succession-planning matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Advise clients on sophisticated estate, gift, and GST tax planning.

- Develop and implement estate and trust planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.

- Advise on corporate and partnership tax issues related to business transactions and ownership structures.

- Provide tax and estate planning guidance in connection with business sales, restructurings, and succession planning.

- Structure transactions and business ownership arrangements with consideration of estate and tax implications.

- Work collaboratively with attorneys across transactional, corporate, tax, and other practice areas.

- Manage sophisticated client matters while developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 7-10 years of relevant legal experience in estate planning, trusts, taxation, or a closely related practice.

- Pennsylvania Bar admission required.

- Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) taxation.

- Experience with corporate and partnership tax matters.

- Experience advising on tax issues involving business sales, restructurings, or succession planning.

- Experience representing high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, or closely held businesses preferred.

- LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred.

- Strong analytical, communication, drafting, and client-management skills.
