Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a busy community emergency department in Orlando, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a modern, well-supported emergency department with access to comprehensive specialty services.

Position Highlights

Level II Trauma Center

Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI/Heart Center

11 private patient care beds

Dedicated trauma room

Dedicated pediatric treatment room

Approximately 30 patients per day

Patients requiring admission are transferred to the main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists

Collaborative emergency medicine team

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions.

Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients.

Perform emergency procedures within the scope of emergency medicine practice.

Manage trauma, medical, and pediatric emergencies.

Coordinate care with specialists and inpatient teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

MD or DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred

Board Certified in Family Medicine with a minimum of 4 years of Emergency Medicine experience and/or completion of an Emergency Medicine Fellowship will also be considered

Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain

DEA registration required
