About the job Senior Bridge Engineer
Position Overview
- Design Leadership: Lead structural design for bridges, culverts, and retaining walls using steel and various concrete systems (cast-in-place, precast, and prestressed).
- Project Management: Manage scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Quality Control: Oversight of shop drawing reviews and internal quality procedures for all team deliverables.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and regulatory agencies to maintain project standards.
- Business Growth: Support client relationship management and identify new business opportunities.
- Licensure: Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.) in Illinois is required.
- Education: Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years in bridge design, including substructures, superstructures, and load ratings.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Illinois DOT standards, AASHTO LRFD, and MicroStation.
- Leadership: Experience supervising engineering staff or leading technical design teams.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
