Interventional Radiology/Neuro Special Procedures Technologist Sign-On for Eligible New Hires Sign-on bonus available for eligible new hires. Work Location Texas Health Plano 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093 Work Schedule Full Time, 40 Hours per week 10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday with rotating days off; On call required (must live within 30 minutes of Texas Health Plano) Department Highlights Newly built Second Hybrid Neuro room Comprehensive Stroke Certification Ability to cross train within Heart & Vascular Employer-sponsored specialty certification for Interventional Radiology available to enhance training and professional development Qualifications Associate Degree Applied Science, OR Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology, OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required. Preferred Experience 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography Certifications Required Upon Hire ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists GMRT – General Medical Radiologic Technologist BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire Certification Options if Not Holding All If ARRT only: upon hire preferred OR RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist: obtain within 6 months of hire if graduated from Cardiovascular Accredited Program LMRT – Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist: if you have RCIS certification only Responsibilities Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exam. Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. Send and transfer images to PACS correctly.
