Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY: Responsible for performing non-complex maintenance and repairs on a variety of routine manufacturing repairs, including mechanical equipment an all operations related to manufacturing. Assist in maintaining grounds of facility. Backup other maintenance personnel on projects as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform maintenance and repairs involving some of the following: Observes functioning of all areas of the production facility to detect hazards, problems and the need for service repair and or replacement of mechanical components.Troubleshoot diagnose and repair mechanical system problems such as motor starters, proximity switches, photo-eyes, contactor, and relay­base, using root cause analysis principles and taking corrective action to repairing or replacing electrical and mechanical component.Respond to work order requests, completing in a timely manner and closing ticketsFollow preventive maintenance schedule for manufacturing. Keep neat and accurate repair records and other department information such as walk-throughs and daily inspection on equipment in the building. Demonstrate professionalism and self-motivation in order to perform routine duties, and assist others including outside vendors, as scheduled or requiredIdentify and troubleshoot sources of mechanical failure. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence with company guidelines and procedures. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Also, basic measuring tools.Travel occasionally from plant to plant if needed for assistance, projects and/or training.
