Commercial Sales Manager

Insight Global is seeking a Commercial Sales Manager for a rapidly growing industrial automation and engineering organization. This is an opportunity for a process-driven professional to build and scale the company's commercial operations infrastructure. Rather than functioning as a traditional salesperson, this individual will focus on implementing sales processes, improving forecasting accuracy, developing pipeline visibility, and creating operational alignment between sales, engineering, and production teams. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a technical manufacturing or industrial environment and have a passion for building organized, scalable systems that support long-term business growth. This role offers significant visibility with executive leadership and the opportunity to shape a critical function during an exciting growth phase.

Day-to-Day:
• Build and implement standardized sales processes and procedures
• Develop pipeline tracking, opportunity management, and forecasting systems
• Run weekly pipeline reviews and opportunity assessment meetings
• Improve visibility from quote through project execution
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to align workload capacity and project pursuit efforts
• Evaluate and prioritize target markets and opportunities
• Support pricing strategy, quoting processes, and margin consistency
• Develop KPI dashboards and leadership reporting
• Identify process gaps and implement scalable commercial systems
Help shape the future growth of the sales organization and determine future hiring needs

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience within industrial, manufacturing, automation, controls, or technical B2B environments
• Experience supporting engineered-to-order, project-based, or solutions-oriented sales organizations
• Strong sales operations, CRM, pipeline management, and forecasting experience
• Proven experience creating, improving, and documenting business processes
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
• Experience managing opportunity pipelines and reporting metrics
Excellent communication and leadership skills
