Senior Lean Services Associate [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Lean Services Associate based in United States.

This role leads Lean implementation and continuous improvement initiatives across small to mid-sized construction projects.
You will facilitate Lean planning, coach project teams, and strengthen coordination and reliability throughout the project lifecycle.
The position combines hands-on facilitation with training, team coaching, and structured problem-solving.
You will help project teams adopt Last Planner System, 5S, and other Lean practices while identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement.
As an experienced Lean resource, you will independently lead core activities and support more complex planning and alignment sessions.
The role offers significant exposure to construction projects, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams across North America.
Extensive travel is required, providing opportunities to work directly with diverse project teams and contribute to high-impact construction initiatives.

Accountabilities:

• Independently lead Lean implementation, planning, coaching, and continuous improvement activities on small to mid-sized construction projects.
• Coach project teams during live planning sessions to improve coordination, collaboration, and planning reliability.
• Co-facilitate complex planning sessions alongside Lean leadership and support higher-level facilitation activities.
• Deliver training on Lean principles, the Last Planner System, 5S, and related practices to project teams.
• Reinforce Lean concepts through structured learning sessions and hands-on coaching.
• Coach teams in advanced Last Planner System behaviors, planning practices, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Identify coaching needs, help resolve project-level issues, and support teams in developing effective solutions.
• Facilitate retrospectives and Team Health review sessions to strengthen project performance and team effectiveness.
• Lead project-level continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities based on project experience.
• Co-facilitate partnering sessions, Collaborative Design Sessions, and team alignment activities.
• Independently facilitate breakout groups and focused alignment discussions.
• Support updates to Lean Edge documentation, training materials, and related content.
• Travel to project locations, offices, client sites, subcontractor and supplier meetings, and other locations across North America as required.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with project, office, and supervisor requirements.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, combined with 3–5 years of experience implementing Lean practices on construction projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently facilitating planning and continuous improvement sessions is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project locations across North America for extended periods, with travel requirements of up to 85%.
• Proficient understanding of Lean philosophy and the purpose and application of the Last Planner System.
• Knowledge of CPM and Last Planner System integration is preferred.
• Familiarity with Touchplan or other Last Planner System management tools is preferred.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with project teams and Lean leadership.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and translate them into practical actions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in dynamic construction environments.
