VP/Controller

Job Description Summary LHH is partnering with a health firm in their search for VP/Controller to oversee the accounting department and provide strategic oversight of financial functions. Compensation The annual salary range is $180,000 - $210,000 + bonus, depending on experience. Hours and Location This is a Hybrid position, with the expectation to be in office in Downtown Denver 3-4 times a week; 15% travel outside the state required. Responsibilities Manage financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual). Recruit, manage, and mentor the accounting team. Serve as a mentor to develop department staff, ensuring performance standards are maintained, employees feel supported, recognized, and held accountable through performance reviews, coaching, and regular feedback. Promote teamwork and professional relationships within the department and with other departments and managers. Oversee tax-related activities and ensure compliance. Direct the external audit process. Oversee cash management and banking relationships. See to department staffing needs (e.g., interviewing, hiring, training, evaluations, job descriptions). Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Support M&A activities and integrate acquired entities. Develop financial strategies with the CFO. Adapt to change and champion change management initiatives. Stay updated on industry changes and ensure compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CPA certification required 10+ years of executive-level experience.
