Step into a vital role supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract position with a welcoming preschool near Crystal Lake, IL. This opportunity is designed for professionals who are passionate about fostering communication skills in young children and eager to make a meaningful impact during a temporary FMLA coverage. The position runs from September through October, working onsite for 34 hours per week in a collaborative school environment.

You’ll be surrounded by a supportive team, working alongside other education and therapy professionals dedicated to a positive learning experience for every child. As a part of this community-focused setting, your expertise will be instrumental in guiding preschoolers on their path to language and speech development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with ASHA Certification, or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY accepted)
• Background in pediatric and school-based SLP practice preferred
• Experience with early childhood or preschool population strongly desired
• Strong collaborative and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site speech and language assessments for preschool students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions in both group and individual formats
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive strategies for student success
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
